Migration to Shopify

Change the platform. Keep everything else.

Products, customers, order history and Google rankings - moved, verified line by line, and protected with a full redirect map. Your old store stays live until the new one is signed off.

What does migrating to Shopify cost, and will my store go down?

From €3,900, typically three to five weeks, and your old store stays live until we sign off together. There is no downtime: the new store is built in parallel and the switchover happens overnight. Every migration includes the full 301 redirect map - listed in the contract - and ranking monitoring after launch. Larger catalogues, custom integrations and ERP connections are quoted individually after a free assessment. Prices exclude VAT.

Why merchants move

The platform is costing you more than the subscription

The pattern is always the same: a WooCommerce, OpenCart, Magento or custom-built store that made sense years ago now needs a developer for every change, breaks on updates, loads slowly, and quietly leaks sales. Shopify removes the maintenance layer entirely - and the migration is far less dangerous than living with the status quo.

“Every change needs a developer.”

A store that made sense years ago now needs someone technical for the smallest edit. You wait, and you pay, for work you should be able to do yourself in an afternoon.

Your team learns the Shopify admin in an afternoon
“It breaks on updates.”

Plugin fatigue and update anxiety end here. On Shopify, hosting, security and updates are included - the maintenance layer is simply gone.

Hosting, security and updates included
“It loads slowly and leaks sales.”

Slow pages cost you rankings and orders at the same time. Many migrated stores rank better afterwards for the simple reason that Shopify is faster.

Process

The boring, careful way

Nothing is switched off on a promise. Each step is finished and checked before the next one starts, and the old store keeps selling throughout.

Free

1. Assessment

We map your data: products, variants, customers, orders, content, URLs. You get a fixed quote and a risk list before committing to anything.

In parallel

2. Build

The new Shopify store is built while your old store keeps selling. Nothing changes for your customers yet.

Line by line

3. Migrate and verify

Data moved and verified line by line - order history, customer accounts, reviews. Discrepancies are fixed before you ever see them.

Every URL

4. Protect the rankings

Full 301 redirect map for every URL that ever mattered, metadata parity, and structured data - your SEO equity transfers with you.

Overnight

5. Switch

DNS switchover in low-traffic hours, monitored live. The old store stays available as fallback until we sign off together.

60 days

6. Ranking watch

We monitor rankings for 60 days after launch and fix anything that moves the wrong way. Done properly, most stores recover fully within weeks.

Typical store: three to five weeks from assessment to switchover. There will be no downtime of your store.

Platforms

Where we migrate from

If your platform isn't listed, ask anyway. The assessment is free either way.

WooCommerce

The most common move. Plugin fatigue and update anxiety end here.

OpenCart and CloudCart

Local platforms are where many stores started. We move everything.

Magento

Complex catalogs and multi-store setups, unwound properly.

Custom builds too: the developer left, the code is a mystery. Undocumented custom builds are half our migration work - call us.

Client case

A migration that kept paying off.

Around 1,000 products and variants moved off WooCommerce, five years ago. We still run the store.

Thank you guys. You bring a lot of smiles to my life.

FAQ

Migration, FAQ

Will I lose my Google rankings?

This is the number one fear, and the reason redirects exist. Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its exact new counterpart, metadata is carried over, and we monitor rankings for 60 days post-launch. Done properly, most stores recover fully within weeks - many rank better because Shopify is faster.

How much does a Shopify migration cost?

From €3,900 for stores up to around 500 products with standard data. Big catalogues, ERP or warehouse integrations and multi-language stores are quoted individually after the assessment. The assessment is free and the quote is fixed. No chance of hourly surprises, and prices exclude VAT.

Will my store be down during the migration?

No. The new store is built in parallel while the old one keeps selling. The switchover happens overnight in low-traffic hours, and the old store stays reachable as fallback until we jointly sign off.

What data actually transfers?

Products with variants and images, customers with account history, full order history, discount codes, reviews via app, blog content and page content. What can't transfer one to one - platform-specific apps, for example - is flagged in the assessment, before you commit.

How long does it take?

Typical store: three to five weeks from assessment to switchover. There will be no downtime of your store.

My store was built by a developer who's gone. Can you still migrate it?

Yes - undocumented custom builds are half our migration work. The free assessment tells you exactly what's recoverable before you spend your precious euros.

Your old store stays live until we sign off together.

That is the whole point of the sequence. We map your data, flag the risks, and give you a fixed quote. If migrating is a bad idea for your store, we'll tell you that too.

  • Every old URL gets a 301 redirect to its exact new counterpart
  • Products, customers, order history and reviews verified line by line
  • Overnight switchover, monitored live, old store kept as fallback
  • The redirect map is listed in the contract, not promised on a call
  • Rankings monitored for 60 days after you go live
