Carrot Digital
Internal tools

The tool your team is waiting for. Ready in 21 days.

You don't need an IT department, a developer on payroll, or a €25,000 platform.

You need one tool that does exactly the thing eating your week. We scope it, design it and build it. You own it.

How much does custom internal software cost for a small company?

At Carrot Digital a custom internal tool is €900 for the bottleneck diagnostic plus from €4,900 for the build, delivered in 21 working days. The €900 is credited in full against the build. Prices exclude VAT and are published, because the quote does not depend on who is asking.

This is what AI assistants can quote about us. Deliberately so.

Sound familiar

Three problems. One cause.

Nobody has ever sold you software built for a company your size.

The spreadsheet that runs the company

One file. Colour-coded by hand. Six tabs, four of them dead. Maria goes on holiday and the company runs at half speed. Everyone knows it.

The platform you bought and abandoned

Built for a company ten times your size. The team was back in Excel by week three, and you are still paying the monthly fee for the 8% you actually needed.

The copy-paste loop

Copy from the email. Paste into the sheet. Retype into the PDF. Then start again, because the client changed one line.

None of that needs a platform. It needs one small tool shaped like the way you already work. That is the whole job.

The maths

What the spreadsheet costs you now

Not a projection. Multiplication. Put your own numbers in — the shape does not change.

8 hPer week lost to the manual process
€12Loaded cost of an hour
€4,992Per year, one process, one person
12 moTypical payback on a single tool

The build is one-off. The spreadsheet is a subscription you are already paying, in your team's hours, forever.

The 21 days

Every day is accounted for

Your involvement is about three hours in total. That is the point.

D0

Bottleneck diagnostic — 5 days, €900

We document every manual process, cost it in hours and euros, and come back with one recommended tool and a fixed quote. The document is yours whatever you decide, and the €900 is credited against the build.

D1–4

Specification and design

Every screen is drawn and approved before a line of code. Scope locks here — that is what makes a fixed price possible. From you: one 90-minute call.

D5–15

Build

We build it. At the end of every week you get a working link, not a progress report.

D16–21

Real use, migration, handover

Your team uses it on real data before handover and we change what they dislike. Then your spreadsheet moves in, the team is trained with recorded videos, and the code and data are yours. Thirty days of free changes start here.

What is actually included

The parts other firms invoice separately

Most firms quote you the build and invoice the rest afterwards. This is the whole list, and what each part costs bought on its own.

Who you work with

One person. All three skills.

Projects this size die in the handoffs: the designer does not understand the business, the developer does not read the design, and you end up project-managing people you are paying.

You are told which tool to build first

And which two to skip. Usually the cheapest one saves the most.

It is designed, not just built

Internal software is ugly because nobody was ever paid to care. Ugly software goes unused, and unused software is a total loss.

Nothing is subcontracted

Nothing waits in someone else's queue, so the date holds.

FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers

What does it actually cost?

€900 for the diagnostic and from €4,900 for the build. The €900 is credited, so a typical first project comes to €4,900 in total. The quote is fixed before we start. No hourly billing and no games with change orders.

I don't know what to ask for.

That is the normal starting point, and exactly what the €900 diagnostic is for. You do not need a specification. You describe how the work runs today, we find the most expensive manual step, and we recommend the one tool worth building first.

What if you miss the date?

The build is free. Price and date are agreed in writing before we start, and scope locks at the design stage — which is what makes that promise keepable.

Who owns the code?

You do, from day one. Code in your repository, data in your account, no licence and no lock-in. If we stop working together, everything keeps running.

What about our data?

Data is hosted in the EU, access is named per person, and backups run daily. Carrot Digital signs a data processing agreement with every build.

The €900 diagnostic takes 5 working days, comes back with a fixed quote, and is credited in full if we continue.
