Carrot Digital
SEO & GEO

Be found on Google. Be recommended by AI.

Search is splitting in two. Classic SEO still drives most of the traffic, but a growing share of buying decisions now starts with a question to ChatGPT or an AI-powered search. GEO is how you become the answer. We do both from one strategy.

What does SEO and GEO cost with Carrot Digital?

A €900 audit of both surfaces, credited in full against the work, then an SEO & GEO retainer from €990 a month, cancel with 30 days' notice. The audited fixes and the agreed content ship on schedule or that month is free. Prices exclude VAT and your fixed quote arrives within 48 hours of the first call.

What GEO is, in plain language

GEO stands for generative engine optimization. Classic SEO tries to win a position on a page of ten blue links. GEO tries to win the answer itself — the paragraph that ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI overview writes when somebody asks a question in your category.

The mechanics are different from ranking. An assistant cannot cite what it cannot read, verify and quote. So it favours businesses that answer real questions directly, publish real numbers, keep their facts identical on every page and profile, and mark all of it up with structured data. It skips the ones that hide prices, bury the answer in marketing prose, or contradict themselves from one page to the next.

What is GEO (generative engine optimization)?

GEO is the practice of publishing content an AI assistant can read, verify and quote, so that your business becomes the answer it gives. In practice that means published prices, direct question-and-answer blocks, business facts that are identical everywhere, and structured data on all of it. When someone asks an assistant who builds online stores in Sofia, or what a website costs in Bulgaria, it answers from exactly that kind of content.

This page is the demonstration. Everything above is published, quotable and marked up — on purpose.

The next customer may never see a search results page

They ask a question, they get a paragraph, and they act on it. If your business is not in that paragraph, the click never happens and you never see it in your analytics — there is no referrer for a recommendation you were left out of.

GEO is a bit like dating: you just have to make a good impression. Looking good to AI is harder, because unlike a pretty blonde, AI knows all of the internet. So there is only one way — it has to be true.

The upside is that the field is nearly empty. Most competitors are still optimising for a results page. AI-answer visibility can move faster than classic rankings for exactly that reason.

One strategy, two search surfaces

The foundation is shared. The GEO layer is what gets added on top, and it is the part most agencies still do not run.

Technical SEO

Site health, speed, crawlability and structured data. The unglamorous foundation both Google and the AI models need before anything else you do can work.

Content that ranks and converts

Collection, product and service pages written for buyers first — in Bulgarian, English, or both, depending on where you sell.

The GEO layer

Published pricing, FAQ schema, entity consistency and direct-answer blocks: everything an assistant needs to quote you accurately instead of guessing or quoting a competitor.

Local visibility

Google Business Profile, citations and a reviews strategy. For a Sofia business this is usually where the first enquiry comes from, and where the facts most often disagree.

Competitor gap analysis

Where competitors are winning on Google and inside AI answers, which of those gaps are worth closing, and which are someone else's fight.

Measurement you can check

A monthly report covering rankings, traffic and AI-answer visibility, so you can decide with data whether the retainer is earning its keep.

Start with the audit. Continue only if it's worth it.

The audit is a deliverable, not a sales call. If the plan isn't worth executing, you keep the plan and we stop there.

€900 · about one week

1. The audit

A technical crawl and health report, a keyword and AI-answer visibility baseline, a competitor gap analysis and a prioritised 90-day action plan. Credited in full if you continue to a retainer.

2. The first fixes ship

We start at the top of the plan: the technical fixes that unblock crawling, and the pages that answer the questions your buyers actually type. Shipped by us, not listed for your developer.

3. Publish, measure, adjust

SEO & GEO, FAQ

How much does SEO and GEO cost?

The audit is €900 one-time and is credited in full if you continue to a retainer. Retainers start at €990 a month and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. All prices exclude VAT.

What is GEO and do I actually need it?

GEO, generative engine optimization, makes your business quotable by AI assistants: published prices, direct answers, structured data, consistent facts. If your customers ask ChatGPT for recommendations, and they increasingly do, you need to be in the answer. The audit measures your current AI visibility so you can decide with data.

What is the difference between SEO and GEO?

SEO wins a position on a results page. GEO wins the answer itself, the paragraph an assistant writes instead of showing ten links. They share a foundation of clean technical health, useful content and structured data. GEO adds published prices, direct question-and-answer blocks and business facts that are identical everywhere, because an assistant will only quote what it can verify.

How do you measure whether AI actually recommends us?

We baseline it in the audit. We run the questions your buyers ask across the main assistants and record whether you appear, how you are described, and who is cited instead. That baseline is repeated in the monthly report, so the trend is visible rather than anecdotal.

Can you guarantee first place on Google?

No, and nobody honest can. Rankings depend on competitors and algorithms we don't control. What we guarantee in writing is our delivery: the audited fixes get shipped on schedule, the content gets published on schedule, and you get transparent monthly measurement. Miss that and the month is free.

How long until results?

Technical fixes show effects in weeks. Content and authority compound over three to six months. AI-answer visibility can move faster than classic rankings because the field is nearly empty. We set expectations per keyword in the audit — no blanket promises.

Do you work in Bulgarian, English or both?

Both. Bulgarian for local visibility, including Sofia local search, and English for European reach. The audit covers whichever markets you actually sell in.

We already have an SEO agency. Why add GEO?

Ask them what your brand's AI-answer visibility is. If the reply is a blank stare, that's the gap. We can run the GEO layer alongside an existing SEO retainer — the audit shows exactly what's missing.

Does GEO work if my website is old and slow?

Partly, and badly. Assistants read the same pages crawlers do, so a site that is slow or hard to crawl limits both surfaces. If the audit finds the site itself is the bottleneck, we say so: the 10-Day Website is €1,900 fixed and it ships SEO and GEO ready, which is usually cheaper than patching the old one.

Find out if AI recommends you. Most brands don't like the answer.

The €900 audit measures your visibility on Google and in AI answers, and gives you the 90-day plan. What you get in writing:

  • The audited fixes and agreed content ship on schedule, or that month is free
  • The €900 audit is credited in full if you continue to a retainer
  • The plan is yours to keep and to execute elsewhere if you'd rather
  • Retainers cancel with 30 days' notice — no annual lock-in
