iGaming · UX & design · Two-week sprintA casino lobby that feels brand new. In two weeks.
Playabets asked for a significant refresh of the outdated look and feel. We changed the user experience (which was the actual problem) and the look and feel for just 14 days.
Analog to digital with a few changes.
Before - one page with a filter that reveals an endless list of games. After - scrollable category sections, standardized icons and fonts and components, smooth and easy navigation on desktop and mobile.

Drag or swipe anywhere on the image to compare.

The new lobby on mobile - bottom navigation, focus games, 2.5-game shelves.
Four decisions did the heavy lifting

Navigation players can use intuitively
We introduced a desktop side menu that leads to all key categories and pages. On mobile, a dynamic bottom nav puts key actions under the user's thumb.

Category sections instead of category pages
A new collection (Casino Lobby) now shows the key collections in scrollable carousels. Easy to navigate to the game you like. Top games from different categories now at a tap's distance.

Focus games
The casino team can now emphasize particular games by increasing their size and placing them first in the category and category carousel.
The whole redesign was delivered as a clickable Figma prototype the platform provider implemented directly - with us supporting until live.
Was great to work with you and thanks so much for your great work! I'm sure we will work together again soon.

Brief to handover in two weeks. A lobby with hierarchy instead of a wall of tiles, navigation built for how players browse, and a merchandising layer the team steers without a designer in the loop.
